Having trouble IDing a part
Hello Jeepers,
I'm trying to ID a part and having some trouble. The Hane's manual doesn't seem to have any reference to it and my local auto parts store wasn't able to figure it out on their computer either. Here is a picture of what I am looking at.
I assumed it was either a temperature sending unit for the in dash gauge or perhaps the switch to turn on the auxiliary electric radiator fan.
Any how.... I need to replace this part on mine as the plastic connector is partially broken off on my engine. The plastic bit that snaps on is fine but the plastic insert attached to the bolt in part is toast.
Any help is much appreciated! If there is somewhere I can order it online or maybe a specific part number or something I can tell the auto parts store that would be great.
Cheers!

That's the coolant temp sensor for the ECM, which is used in those magic fuel map tables and to determine if the electric fan needs to come on or not. The one for the gauge is on the back of the head.

I would be willing to bet the coolant temp sensor for the gauge is probably the same part # for the coolant temp sensor for the ECU/fan...
Here is the only part # listed in the 1991-1993 Mopar parts catalog for a temp sensor.
