having tranny issues
My tranny bucks and jerks bad when it shifts from 3rd to 4th gear (auto trans) and if I step on it really hard it FINALLY hits passing gear but also "goes into neutral" if I step on it too hard.... It is a 1988 XJ with a 4.0 that I have returned from the dead.. all but the eng. has just hit 325,000 miles on it (other than reg maint.) Not sure what the eng has Its a junkyard motor that runs strong.. I also lose power when trying to climb hills on the road. Any suggestions will help alot.. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
