Default Having problems starting in the cold

I have a 2000 xj with 4.0; I have had it for almost 5 months and the temperature in GA has finally started to drop. The jeep doesn't want to start after it sits in the cold for 7-8 hrs. I sat in the parking lot at work last night for 20 minutes and it finally cranked on the what seemed like 25th attempt. I am guessing its the cold weather affecting it. Are there any key problems to look at on these cars for cold weather? Once it fires up and runs, it will start all day long....it's just once it sits out in the cold for a prolonged time. Thanks for any help!!!!

just so im sure did it just click for the first 24 times? if so your starters contacts could be crap and the cold weather is making them sweat and then freeze. ive seen it tons of times. tr replacing your starter (money willing lol) or see if your local dealer can get you contacts
