Looking for a bit of info - I have a 95 2.5L XJ in need of a new harminic balancer. I ordered a dayco, but was informed it wont ship until mid-Jan. My only other option local or online seems to be a Dorman, which I've heard about issues with the fit on the 2.5Ls - although the posts were somewhat dated.
Has anyone had any experience with brands of harmonic balancers in XJs. with with

Thanks - I actually haven't tried that yet. I also didn't try searching "crankshaft vibration damper", so that may open other options as well.
UPDATE: so, given the decent weather and xmas sales I picked up a Dorman today. Installation went ok and the Dorman seemed to fit, though I wasn't quite sure how to tell when it was in all the way. It wasn't quite flush, but I ran out of thread on the installation bolt, so I couldn't go any further - it looks to be in there about where it should be, based on the serpentine belt path.
I saw this mentioned elsewhere, but it bears repeating: when renting an installation / removal kit, try to ensure the kit has shorter installation and removal bolts - or plan to remove your radiator. The kit I got from ADV had did not (it was brand new) and I ended up removing the old balancer without using the conical shaped end. This resulted in some mashing of the threaded shaft and a lot of swearing and grunting trying to get the bolt and washer in in the end.
