I have done a search already. It seems like every one puts a "T" plug in? Is that what I need? My cherokee was wired for towing with an RV and had no plug so I am confused. Please help me!

Did you see this I posted the other day?
Let me know if you need the factory Chrysler wiring schematic. I hit up a mechanic, and gave him a sob story about my problems. He printed it up off of the dealer computer. I really don't think you'll need it, but I have it. I need to scan it, but I can also email you a generic 7pin connector wiring pinout. A test light will help you with the rest. The center is for reverse.

Yeah, I read that earlier today. I have traced down what wires do what on the factory harness. What my problem is is that I have the 4 wires, white, green, brown, and yellow. I wired them to the factory harness via hardwire. I have turns, markers, and running lights but no Brake lights. The turns are supposed to have your brakes wired to them as well but I don't know how to do this since the cherokee has 2 different wires for this. How can I wire it up using the standard 4 wires?
Edit: I can also show pictures of what I have wired up so far. But I will have to go take them.

I know Northern tool has almost everything you need. I hardwired a 7 pin for my F350. Easy, but not so entertaining- that's what the neighbor's son is for! Thanks to me, he's graduated from flashlight boy to full fledged helper...almost.
What I would do if I were you, would be to use the factory daisy chain that has the relays, and use the factory equipment 7 pin connector- just like I described above. If your trailer is a 4 wire flat (like you describe) then just get an adapter that goes from the 7 wire harness on your Jeep, and reduces down to the trailer's 4 wire flat connector. Wal-Mart sells that for cheap.
the other alternative would be to get a T off, and plug that into your factory taillight harness. Unplug the black square pigtail, and plug in the 4 wire daisy chain. Northern sells that too.
This guy Paul on ebay helped me out bigtime. His ebay store is called "R&P carriages", and he sells stuff for super cheap. If you wrote him and told him of your problems, I bet he would have what you need for a low $ amount. Nice guy.
Let me know if you need those wiring harness'...I can forward them to you.

Have you pulled off that driver's side rear kick panel, and removed the driver's side taillight housing to see what all you're working with? You have the factory harness with the 3 little black relays?

Yeah, I pulled the kick panel off to see what was back there since some of you guys mentioned that. The factory plug is about 1" by 3/4" with a few little plugs scattered about that are around 1/2" by 1/2". I have the round plug thats a 6 or 7 pin I believe but I am only using 4 wires. I just need to know how to wire for the brake lights so that the turns work with them. Do you have a picture of the "daisy chain" and maybe that harness diagram you have would help.

Okay, so if you have the factory 7 pin connector, that means that you have the 3 relays and the factory daisy chain. They're stuck inside a square piece of foam.
All you need is the adapter that plugs into your 7 round and reduces to 4 flat. Cheap, like maybe 5 or 10 bucks. Look for it at Wal-Mart. There's really no need to splice in a 4 wire pigtail harness when you can simply use the factory 7 pin connector...and just use an adapter like described above.
PM me your email, and I can forward you the generic 7 pin connector. The Chrysler harness pages are at work, and will need to be scanned before I can forward them to you. Back up in your harness, there's a little blue wire that isn't hooked to anything- you need to run that up to your brake controller (or not if your trailer is of the 4 flat variety)

I may have misguided you, I don't have the factory towing package or anything. I am trying to wire in my own. I must have the daisy chain like you say. The PO wired up to tow with an RV but the wiring for that was a "back feed" system so they had diodes in the harness for the back lights. What my basic goal was is to hardwire in the 4 wires. I was going to run my own power for my brake controller separate, unless that blue wire is stock and is on all of them, in that case I can use that one. I am still wondering how you would get a 4 wire to work seeing how the brake lights and turn signals are going to be 2 different wires??????
If you're going to run a brake controller, then you NEED the factory 7 pin connector/ wiring harness. Period Paragraph. (you're wasting your time trying to wire in a 4 wire flat) It's already got the blue wire inside the harness- it's not plugged into anything. Your blue wire from your brake controller pigtail runs to that wire. That, and plus the factory harness has relays that protect the small gauge wiring from an overload of amps, and has a circuit breaker to protect against short to ground. Just go to the junkyard and grab that harness. I bet you could get it for 10-20 bucks. It plugs into the little black rectangular pigtail that you described.
Shoot me PM, and I'll forward you the wiring for the 4 and 7 wire generic schematics

Again, I do have a 7 pin female end I am trying to wire in. I have done many of these on other rigs of mine. Can I buy one of those harnesses at U-hual or some place like that, rather then a junk yard? Does anyone have a picture of this harness I need to use or the Plug I need?

I think I have figured it out. I am going to use a 5 pin On-Off relay. This was I can use the flasher as a switch to turn the brake light on and off. I am going to buy a relay to try because I am set that there is a way. The only place I can get this T connector around me charges close to 40 bucks and I am cheap so thats not going to happen unless I fail at the relay idea. If I do get it figured out I will write up a good "How To" on wiring for a trailer without a T plug. Wish me luck

you got taillight, brake, reverse and turn circuits in the rear. you may also see right and left circuits. critical lights are often on separate circuits for left and right sides so that critcal stuff light brake lights, and tail lights do not completely fail in case of one fuse blowing. Of course the turn lights are on separate circuits.
Often but not always the left and right side circuits for a given function such as tail lamp will be of same color of wire, but one of them left or right may have a marker stripe to identify it as left or right of one may have a white marker and the other a black marker.
good luck
