When my 96 sits a week or so, it doesn't want to start. Just cranks and cranks. I was thinking fuel issue, put a guage on it, 45 PSI when running. Left the guage on it and pressure slowly bleeds off after a few days. Put a new fuel filter on it, so pressure was all gone since I opened uo the line, but it started right up. If I go out and start it every day no problems. Only when it sits too long. Any ideas?

From your post sounds like it will start, just takes some cranking. As the pressure is bleeding off to try to eliminate some possible fuel issues I would try leaving the pressure gauge hooked up for however many days (so it has sat for the required number of days so the pressure is 0 or so) then turning the key to "run" to see what the fuel pressure gets up to. Once the pressure is up to spec try to start it.
sticking with the fuel idea I'm wondering about a leaking injector(s) flooding it making it hard to start.
Also, don't forget to see if you have spark after it sits and doesn't start
