Hack n Tap
Hey guys I interesting in lifting my jeep, right now I have my eye on the RC 6.5'. But what im wondering is how much is a hack n tap cost and is it hard to do? Would it be easier to put a NP231 T-Case in?

Figured I'd post this question here instead of creating a new thread.
I have a NP242 and got a Hack N Tap from IRO.
The installation instructions seem to be really lenient in where you cut the output shaft, a long as you leave 1.5" of splines remaining.
Now what if I go and pick up a front drive-shaft from the JY as everyone else does, but instead of hacking off the output shaft, reversing the direction of my springs, stretching the wheelbase and moving the rear end further back. I would then proceed with measuring the distance and trimming the output shaft to fit the stock front drive-shaft.
So: does anyone see a problem with installing a Hack-N-Tap essentially on the end of the stock output shaft (given about a 2" stretch).
