Also keep in mind... depending on what year you XJ is the transfer case reaer seals are different... you may have to get the other seal... you may not... just email the guy with what you have and he will set you up with what you need... i think if you needed the other seal it was only like $20... i think i need it if i remember right... its like 94 and older or 96 and older... something like that... hittin the rack... merry xmas yall!
thats what im doing... u can do as ya want... i also found a thread one day where someone emailed the guy and asked to get the kit without the driveshaft... he already had a extra... so it was even cheaper for him... just an idea... thats what im doing anyway...
you dont have to drill and tap with a SYE... but you do gotta pretty much rebuild your whole transfer case... and pull it out... and replace all fluids... yatta yatta... ive done alot of research on it and even went and spent like 4 hours in the JY trying to find the vehicle the yoke comes off of... but like everyone else i couldnt find it... its a mystery... and nobody will give it up... u can buy it by itself from acouple companies... but its $100 and at that rate you may as well get the kit...
