Growling Engine?? Help.
Just to warn y'all, I'm new here and I don't know a whole ton about the technical stuff - hence why I'm here. I have a '96 classic.
I've run into a problem. Had a radiator flush in the last month - fine. Oil change on wednesday - fine.
Friday I drove 200 miles on a balmy day to school and when I arrived, my engine was making this godawful throaty, grumbling noise that only got louder when I'd accelerate. On top of that, the serpentine belt(?) was squeaking a bit, too, typically when idling.
I dropped her off at a mechanic today and I'm seriously worried the guy's gonna try and screw me over.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
