Default grinding while turning

94 I6 4WD XJ. When making sharp turns (parking lots usually) i get an extremely loud grinding noise coming from the front end. i've been told it's because the front axle is still engaged. From research i've done, i read that it doesn't disengage. Anybody know how to solve this problem?

You have a 94, your front axle doesn't disengage. If it is something with your front axle, its probably that your jeep is staying in 4wd. However, its more likely your power steering grinding away.

or it could be your front anti-roll bar grinding on your springs due to an improper lift kit like mine.
