Default Grinding/scraping noise??

Hello, 2000 XJ 4.0 . Recent front brake job , rotors&pads . XJ has 174k , while driving down road and making turns I hears a scraping/grinding noise coming from drivers side front wheel . Almost sounds like pads are worn out and metal to metal sound. Don't notice going in straight line down road
Any ideas ? Could it be wheel bearing ?

Did u get correct rotors? They changed hub sizes mid 1999 and it's possible that the store packed wrong sized rotors

I got bit by that one. That's why I mentioned the dust shields. It took two parts stores to figure it out.

I'm currently having the same issue with my 1998 Cherokee Limited, I just installed a lit and did the front brakes in the process. All the brake are fine except for the front passenger side. While driving it is scraping and almost fell like it is applying the brake at low speeds. I've noticed alot of residue on the wheel as well, this is just the front passenger side. I have no idea what it is bit I can smell the brake when I get out of the car after a 20 min drive. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.

I believe the calipers have plastic pistons in the later model years 00 & 01, and if your pry the brakes apart when removing you can damage the piston seals. If this occurs the pistons will randomly return and will possibly not release when they get hot. When you hear the sound pull over and feel the hub for heat. A shop I dealt with automatically replaced the calipers for this reason.
