Nah, not a shock. I just figured RE would give you everything needed but forgot that the superflex and superride kits differ.

FYI, I just put a RE adj TB in my XJ, and the quality was typical RE, GREAT!! Seems to be a real solid piece that should last for years!!

Unfortunately there's no amount of adjusting or modifications that can eliminate the humming. I'm afraid you will have to make do with it.

Just had the same thing happen on our '98 w/auto tranny. After the 3 1/2" RE superride w/springs lift had slight vibs on acceleration and grinding on decel. Put the Rustys 1" lowering bracket on and cured both! Thanks for the info. Just a note RE has had a problem with the rubbers on the disconnect adapters being bad(replacements in the mail).

So I was researching my grinding problem because I just had my lift installed today. Got the RE 3.5" super-flex and got light driveline vibrations but the grinding was pretty gruesome while driving around 40-50mph. Seems to happen on decel. 01 XJ.

Guess I need to get an SYE.

Default Grinding noise up front on my 1998 XJ

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I just changed the Hub on the front right side because it had a bad bearing. I went to the Sand Dunes up in Michigan for a weekend with my family and I played with my jeep out there. Now when I drive straight in 2wd there is no noise but when I am driving slow and I turn the steering wheel to the left or right there is a loud grinding noise coming from what sounds to be the axles. I thought that maybe there was sand somewhere or maybe I got some water in the front diff. so I drained it but the noise is still there. Any idea?? I really need some help here. Thanks to all who reply
