Default got some answers today! i hope

after eating lunch today, i got back into the jeep and went to back upbut when i cut the wheels heard a loud pop. i cut the wheels back and forth a few times and kept on poping. when i got back to work had a guy turn the wheels while i was under it and the track bar is moving back an forth along with the axle. so i think i found out why i have a wobble.
now for a ? do these just wear out over time or what?

I can't believe that price. The frame end has a tie rod end in it and as you know they wear out. The axle end has a replaceable bushing which can and does wear out. There are polyurathane bushings to replace the axle end, and conventional rubber bushings too.

i thought that was cheap too but he went and got it off the shelf and it was the entire track bar. the end that is moving is the frame mounted side. when you turn the wheels it moves from 1/4 to a 1/2 an inch.

According to AUTOZONE.COM

Duralast / Track Bar
Warranty - LLT DS1235
$82.99

Double check and make sure your getting the right thing before you tear it all apart. The Zone has gotten me before.

Put a wrench on the trackbar mounting bolts and tighten them up!! Don't go throwing parts at it untill you know exactly which parts do in fact need to be replaced.

Normally you can see the nut wobble back and forth if it's loose. Just look for that. I bet the joint is shot. I went through two of them (tj) before upgrading to JKS. They suck, especially after you lift it and keep the stock bar.

i was really wanting to go ahead and get an adjustable one but it looks like it will be awhile before iget it lifted, so i'll probably go ahead and get a stock one. oh and the nut seems to be tight so i'm pretty sure the joint is wore out.
