Default got a problem

I have a 92xj and it has been acting up quite a bit. First off, I left it sit out on some property for over a month without starting it. Then, I went out and drove it back to my house and slowly it has developed a problem. It has started to idle high and sometimes when I am taking off from a dead stop it will die and it takes quite a bit of cranking to get it started. The only way I can get it to start is by turning the key and putting the pedal to the floor, forcing it to flood basically.
I have new plugs and the wires are fine. I am thinking that it could be the fuel filter clogged with something or maybe a throttle control sensor?

Shoot me some ideas please.
Thanks.

If it has been sitting check your vacuum lines for cracks/breaks.

They will get brittle with age especially if the car is sitting unused.

Also your idle air controller may be a little sticky. Try cleaning it first

I did take that out and it was gunked up. I took some cleaner out and scubbed it and it did seem to calm it down but just for a little while. There was a big difference when I cleaned it though. It idled where it is supposed to and was very responsive but within maybe 10 miles it was back to doing it again.

I'm going to venture to say that since cleaning worked temporarily, that you just might be due for a new one.
