Got my lift on
that is not really true I ran 30's on my stock xj for awhile but the rubbing was out of hand but alot of this depends how much sag springs and leafs have I just hate to see some one go out and buy a set of 30" tires to find out that they rub like mad.
base shop? like military base shop? if thats what your talking about then they should... I put my 3.5 ZJ lift and 2in coil spacers on at my base in beaufort s.c. they had everything i needed... did it all in like 6 hours... wish i was still in so i could use the shop this next time on my XJ... made it way easier

The lift looks very nice man. I love the color scheme of your XJ too. I couldn't help but notice how similar my Jeep used to look, except it is the teal green color. I've since done some more small stuff to the exterior. Great minds think alike huh?

Also on my ZJ when i installed the lift i didnt need a compressor for anything either... but i had shocks off and all that good stuff... lower arms were already installed though when i stuck the springs and spacers in... had a buddy hang from the axle to get them to fit so next time i would put the springs in first before the lower arms... was alittle tight...

Huhhh "sigh" I miss the base auto hobby shop. I put my first lift on at the shop at Fairchild AFB when I was still in. It was nice to have a lift and all the snap on tools I could need..... Guess it's back to the driveway and jackstands..... LOL

LazersGoPewPew, the auto hobby shop at NAS P-cola is really nice for an old converted Hangar. They do have a great assortment of tools and lots of lifts and jack stands. I worked on my old 4Runner in there many times during the 3 years I was stationed there. Glad to be back in Washington state, though. Florida is too darn flat and mud bogging isn't my thing.
