So i got the check for my accident, damn deductible knocked it down to only $242.79. Whats the best front bumper i can get for around this much? I really dont want to have to dig into my own pocket because im trying to save up for rims and tires. Im not looking for anything fancy just a clean looking black front bumper. Any ideas?

Check www.nates4x4.com .
I just got their XJ front bumper with grill and brush guards-
I had to paint it myself, but it seems pretty stout, isn't too too heavy, and, with a few coats of primer and some black rustoleum, looks good.
It was relatively cheap too, coming ini around 350.
Without the guards is less though.
I would DEFINITELY recommend the recovery points, even if you don't put the shackles in them. They're beefy and well mounted/welded.

I have heard people say they have had bad experiences with wait times for their stuff from Nates, but I guess I'm the exception. ! week from online order to front door. Shipping was relatively cheap too, and it came with all the hardware for mounting. (showed up separate 4 days later)

I'm mounting it on my 98 in a week or so, so I'll take some picts and post em.

Yeah, I had that whole deer/jeep collision issue 3 times last year.
Now i'll be a little more prepared.

Good luck

What kind of bumpers are you looking 4? if you do a lot of rock crawling i would get a hard bumper but if you just looking for a good rugged bumper. Check out dual tube bumpers. i put them on mine and was surprised with the look and functionality of them. You see them on tjs and yjs all the time. I figured why not. I like them. You can get front and rear for bout 400$

eww leave the ugly tube bumpers to the tjs and yjs, just my opinion. save up some extra cash in the next couple months and buy something you actually want vs cheap. you will love yourself and your jeep more.

www.jcroffroad.com, I'm planning on getting bumpers and sliders from them, and they're definitely the cheapest I've found for premium quality stuff.

You could just get some 1.5 square tubing and put little bends in it where that one has it and the 90* the ends. It would have lines in the front where the tubing meets but hey it should only be around 70ish bucks

I have a Logans Metal Products front bumper that I purchased on ebay through them. Got it on sale for about $200 and shipped for another $65.

Great solid front bumper! I got it bare steel to save on money and just painted it up myself.
