Got any rough cold start tips?

My old 89 XJ would have long crank starts after sitting for a while, and I had gotten tired of it. I ended up buying the BMW fuel line check valve (16149068988) and installed it near the pump. It worked like a charm! The issue is the check valve that's in the tank sticks, and allows the entire fuel system to depressurize back into the tank when the engine is off for a while.
