ok so i not going to lift my cherokee yet 98 xj 5 speed stock !! i need to know what is a good off road/mud tire it has 235/70/15 on it right now but i want a little more aggressive tire for high way use and snow and mud/off road what do you guys recommend that is cheap anywhere from 80-100 a tire maybe will spend more and how big of tire can i fit under her stock?

 

Don't fall for the All Terrains they suck! and I believe 30" tires are the largest you can go stock without rubbing

 

80-100 is like highway tires, offroad tires aren't cheap but a good budget option is treadwright

The 'P' version or passenger is cheaper,lighter, and made for our lighter cherokees.
I paid $130 per tire, mounted and balanced for 265/75/15 the equal to 31 x 10.5
You would be after 255/75/15.

These are on moms stock 04 lj , 31 x 10.5 x 15 there Kelly safari tires, 3 ply , worked awesome for us so far no complaints , plus there cheep I believe we got em from walmart. They look good too!
