ok so i welded the mani up. looks ok. but to be honest i wont bother to do this again. the metal is rather crummy and even with my amps down the metal burns out. i had to build the welds up a lot to get all the cracks covered and taken care of.
i will install to morrow and see how long it lasts but for the time and dollar. get a new one. pics and instal to go on tomorrow.

dont know bout renix but on my 99 i did it in 45 minutes.
just pulled the airbox, electric fan and power steering pump to make room, took off intake manifold, unbolted te top bolts, raised the lift and then unbolted the bottom ones from below. unbolted the flange from the pipe, yanked her outa there. then i cleaned everything up while i had it out. threw it back together and then did my valve cover gasket

My manifold had a nice crack and I ground it down a bit and my dad hit it with the welder also. You are right about burning holes through it, but it is 95% better than it was before and has held for give or take about a year. I had one hell of a time reaching every spot i needed though.
