So I'm on my way through the woods of wharton forest to deliver a Christmas present to a fellow xjer with my girlfriend aimlessly cruising through puddles like I always do. Well great time to take the expert monster truck trail with my little stocker and before you know it BOOM! highsided on the pumkins..(I could stick my fingers under all 4 tires)..
Nothing major wrong (thank God) just a few squeaks and water almost everywhere...including the IAC (I think - cold starts stall sometimes) and inside...I guess thats what shop vacs are for.. got stuck at 12:30 and didnt get her out until 5:30.
4 trucks and 2 come alongs later and she survives!

The trucks couldnt even attempt to pull me out... we broke 1 come along and someone showed up with a chain type come along that pulled us out in less than 3 mins..those things are amazing and aren't too expensive either...the ruts were about 3 foot deep on each side with a huge island in the center...looks like some 35"++ dug it out a few hundred times

Dude, if you're going to break the Golden Rule, and go wheeling by yourself. You should invest in a winch.

I have a winch but, I still prefer the better plan. Always bring along a couple of your best XJ buds when you go wheeling. It's more fun that way. You can get pulled out quickly and be on your way and you only have the harmless ribbing to deal with.
haha nice dude you have to watch out at wharton some of those pits are a lot deeper than that one. get a chain come along. there is a place called fazzios in glassboro NJ. it sells all kinds of stuff like that for wholesale prices.
