Well my 87 cherokee has the normal webble wobbles that gm columns have. So I tore into it this weekend and found out that the 4 bolts are still tight and something is broken below them . I have a line on a free 93 chevy 1500 column, So here is the big question with they swap out with little or no hacking?

Check the lengths.

 

if you got it that far apart.. it might be easyer to just change the broken parts out... Ive taken quite afew gm tilt wheels apart... 99% of time its the 4 bolts... hope you can fix.. or replace....what ever is broke...

 

its only like 5 bolts to pull a whole column from a cherokee... just find another... and i dont think its the 1500's with them... s-10's... blazers...
