Give some info on your jeep. Year, how's the maintenance on the cooling system, etc? Just get warm in mud? Or other conditions?

removing the AC pump and running a delete pulley wont change how hot your jeep runs in the mud, x2 on the year cherokee we're dealing with

A good radiator flush and toggle on electric fan will work wonders

+10 on cooling system maintenance, what has/hasn't been done? A properly functioning t-stat only controls minimum temp.

I had the same prob. Mine only happened when mudding being I was giving it more gas offroading. I ran my own wire from my electric fan to my fuse switch under my dash and put a switch. Haven't had a single prob over heating since. I got an over sized fan too from advanced for $60 works wonders

sometimes the mud we have here can be thick and can clog the fins on the radiator so just keep an eye on that to make sure you have good fair flow.

I had the same thing happen once. She over heated while wheelin and playin in the mud. (deep thick stuff) Freeway speeds didnt help, fan was workin, no leaks. Long story short when i went to replace the rad i had a solid wall of mud (that i couldnt see until i tore it apart) between rad and con. I cleaned it out with a P.W., replaced the t-stat and all was good plus i had a back up rad! Check to see if you have mud that stuck around.
