Getting Closer and Closer...
Speedometer and Odometer only works when brake is applied.
Total loss of power, followed by stalling and dying in 3rd and 4th.
Getting codes p0500, and p0700.
Connected? Could one cause another?
Wiring or Sensor?
(1998 XJ Sport, 4x4, AW-4, 140000m.)

If you remove the brake light switch, the speedometer works fine.
If it is installed, the speedometer doesnt work.
The brake light switch is new from autozone, I replaced it because the old one had failed.
