That seems kind of pricey but I'm really leaning towards the swap. I have no grinding or welding skills.

 

Depends on how much you get the axle for and if you Fab or buy your mounts.

As far as welding goes you could always check you areas section on CF see if a fellow Jeeper would weld it up for a small fee... or some beer.

Another option I was just thinking of, to get you rolling and useable 4wd. You could easily get matching D30/8.25 (29 spline) in a 3.55 ratio. They're everywhere and it wouldn't be horrible since you have a manual. Then you could get an 8.8 and hone in your Fab skills on that project. Just a thought.

 

I got some news there's this guy that knows this guy that's knows another guy who has a cherokee he's parting out. It's possible he has the axles/ gears I need.
