Default gearing to rim size?

I am aware of how the gearing should reflect the correct tire size? My question is if i switche to the same size tire but a bigger rim. Would that chenge my efficiency? Example run 33/12.5/15 run the same gear if i went to a 33/12.5/17?

As long as your outer tire diameter doesn't change your final drive speeds wont be affected.

Thanks. Do you know if it would add or take away of how or when the tranny shifts or rpms at all? Just curious. Before i look for rims and gears.

If the overall tire diameter is the same, it doesn't matter if the wheel size is 15", 16", 17". etc.

33" is 33"........but 33X12.50 is huge and way heavier than stock. I would think a 33X12.50/17 would be a heavier tire/wheel combo than a 33X12.50/15.

If you go big tires, go aluminum wheels to keep the weight down.

Goes by tyre diameter - wheel diameter doesn't matter.
