All my gauges stopped working on my 95 xj. What provides power to all my gauges in the instrument cluster?

Check the fuse panel under the dash. Use a test light with the lights on. Check both sides of the fuse.

After re-reading my reply, I should have said to check the fuses with the ignition switch in the on position. Hope I didn't mess up ur test too much.

 

Pretty common problem. You might have to take the gauge cluster off and clean the plug on the back and add some dielectric grease. My gauges do this as well.. sometimes they will all quit, sometimes only 1/2 will quit. Sometimes they will go off and on pretty quick, sometimes they stay off for a couple months. Knock on wood, they have been going again for a while after I pulled them out and redid the plug.

 

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same problem right now too. My question is, if you undo that plug behind the gauges, will it take my odometer to 0? Might be a dumb question..

 

Your trip reading will go to zero but your total mileage will not go to zero if that is what your asking.
