Gauges die but come back with blinkers

Gauges die but come back with blinkers
Hi Guys,
So since the weather has started warming up recently my gauges will die and come back after a few minutes. The weird thing is when I turn my blinker on they come back immediately. It doesn't matter what direction I choose long as I hit it they come back.
My cruise control stopped working the same time this started happening. I haven't had the XJ long and I'm trying to fix everything for this fall.
Anyone got any advice or ideas on what is going on and what I can do?
