Default gauge swap question

I have a 87 manual 4.0 truck that has a gauge cluster that has all the good analog gauges but no tach. I have a Tach cluster, will I need anything to make the tach function?

If I am not mistaken it should be a plug and play.

All plug n play, just find a cluster from a 87 to 90, 91 and up wont work cause they went from cable driven speedometers to electric speedometers
