Default Gauge set up HELP!! (pictures)

Hi , I've been searching for this topic and im not find a logic answer im gonna ask it simple as possible.
I have this...

and where i should installed? Here?

or here?

and i need this for that??

I heard that it should not install the T fitting there because it has circulation flow therefore it has no accurate reading, is that true?

the thing is i have the dummy lights and last friday my radiator leaks at the passenger side

and i still waiting for the damn light to turn on, i replaced the sender that same week because the jeep smells hot and still dont warn me.
I use the BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor - WT428P

any advice?? oh i forgot,
I have a 1995 SE 4.0L HO I6 2WD automatic
THANKS

Mechanical temp gauges have huge sending units and can be tricky to install.....be careful that the female threads match the male threads on the sending unit. As previously posted, using an adapter mounted in the top rad hose as close as possible to the t-stat housing would be a good choice. That way, u don't mess with the ECU sending unit or the factory idiot light. With a gauge and a red light, u have the best of both worlds. FWIW, we've seen 230F momentarily on the ScanGauge but the red factory idiot light never blinked.

U can make an adapter out of copper tube or nipple.

If you want the cooling system and computer to function correctly you will need to use an adapter or install another port on the housing.

I understand that but the thing is the warning light don't works after the motor went off and smoke all over that's why im trying a gauge. But if im install a T in the housing it has enough flow to tell the current temperature?
Something is better than nothing right?

If your radiator has a leak anywhere, you are going to have problems with the engine running hot and over heating. Since the cooling fan sensor and the temperature sensor are basically high points in the cooling system, any loss of coolant will prevent the sensors from being immersed in the coolant at all times. The sensors are not designed to measure hot air or steam temperatures, and as such will not give the correct temperature, they need to be immersed in liquid. I would suggest installing a new radiator and coolant first and then check the bulb in the gauge cluster to be sure the filament is not broken,

the front engine sensor is for your computer, the rear is for your idiot light.

I run full mechanical gauges and I used the rear one. no idiot light, sure, but I like the full gauge
