gauge question

gauge question
If I take the gauge cluster out of a 85 Cherokee Wagoneer 2.8 auto, that has a tach. Will it go into a 88 Cherokee Larado 4.0 5-speed that doesn't have a tach

I did the swap the only thing that was difrent was the speedo, sence the old guages already had guages for everything not dummy lights. pretty easy swap cept for the speedo
