i have a 96 Cherokee with 164xxx . while driving home tonight my gauge cluster suddenly stopped however my temp gauge shot up. i pulled over and shut it down and restarted it but nothing. it seemed like i could bring the temp down. head lights,tail lights,turn signal and radio all work . all gauges are dead except temp.. any ideas? this is my daily driver so i really need to get it back on the road...

 

The same thing happend with my 97 and i kicked the area to the left underneath the steering column where theres a bunch of connectors and they have been working ever since. In other words there should be a connector above where your left foot sits under the dash on the left hand side. it will be a pretty meaty connector.
