Gauge Cluster Connection
Once in a while, I lose the speedometer and tachometer. At the same time, the Airbag and Check Engine lights will go on, and the odometer just reads "no bus". Usually this will happen a couple times, and will then go back to normal.
I've heard that it could be the connection for the gauge cluster behind the dash. I just want to know if this is easy to get to. I'd like to remove any oxidation and grease the connection. I'm just not really sure how to get back there. I'm horrible at taking things apart and being able to put them back together correctly again.
Is this something I could do, or should I take it to a shop and have them do it for me? If you think I can do it, can you give me a step-by-step?
I'd really appreciate any input, thanks!
