Question Gas tank skid plates

So I know that there is a way to fit a ZJ gas tank skid plate onto an XJ. My question is what ZJs came with the factory skid plate? (I.E. Laredo, Limited, SE) Was a skid only on those with the tow package? Any help is good help!!

Thanks Ryan

You best bet is to just head to your local junkyard and take a look under each ZJ until you find one.

I know they came as part of the Orvis package, and the Up-Country package, but can't say if they were part of any other packages. But they weren't part of the tow package. The tow package could be ordered along with one of the others mentioned though.

That's what I was planning on doing anyway lol I'm currently away at school and the yard here is awful for pricing. They wanted $180 for a hitch. I told the guy he was out of his mind lol. Once I go home this weekend I plan on searching some local spots to find one. Just curious if there was a specific model that had it so it made my findings easier. Thanks for the help.

Wow, that a little outrageous. My local yard charges scrap for skids.

Sorry, I meant they charge by the pound. I.E. a gas tank skid would be ~$5.
