gas tank question

i was wondering if a 95 grand cherokee limited v8 gas tank will work in a 87 cherokee?

Why do you want a plastic gas tank? Skid is harder to find and ZJ fuel pump is higher than a pre 96 XJ

my gas tanks busted an a friend was gonna let me have his spare tank. i didnt know they where plastic thanks for the info
