Default Gas tank and front skid plates

I want to paint my gas tank and front skid plates on my 98 cherokee. How do these get removed and how easy is it?

They are bolted on and if you can turn a ratchet with the correct socket on it they should come off in minutes. If the tank shield is held on by the straps then the tank will drop when you pull those straps off.

Have fun kid you'll figure it out.

Fuel tank skid is fastened with bolts the same way a trailer hitch is. In fact if you have a hitch, it will fall off too.

Rust will make it harder. Soak everything with Kroil, Liquid Wrench, or PB Blaster for a while before trying to make em move.

I painted my tank skid black... Use your imagination on what that would look like. It would look good with green though
