Gas pedal problem??
I've had my Jeep for about a month now, and there's a slight problem that has come up. For some reason, it feels as though the gas pedal has slipped down the throttle cable. I'm not exactly sure why, or how it could have done this...it just feels lower than usual, and there's definitely more play than there should be. The gas pedal is very loose when lifted up (I did this to examine it, not while driving, of course), and it is very close to the floor. I can post pics if necessary. It feels as though it takes more force from my foot to get the engine going while I drive, and it sounds like the engine revs more while I drive in general. This is the second time this has happened, and it is very unnerving. The first time, it somehow fixed itself, and I'm still not sure how. Any thoughts as to why, or any suggestions as to what I should do would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!
It's a '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport, if it helps. I can provide specs if needed.
