Default Gas Pedal / AC issues

So my gas pedal is exteremly loose and i was wondering if there is anyway for me to tighten it back up a bit. and i got a little problem with my AC it blows air but only from the top nothing comes out of any of the vents. Not big issues but summer is about to hit and i would really like my ac to blow in my face : P

the settings are like that. when the heat is on it blows from below cuz hot air rises on the when the max ac or normal are on it only blows from top. just how cherokees are. all of them i have owned do it. as for the gas pedal the only thing id know to do is adjust the throttle cable?
hope that helps?

EDIT: i just re read it. idk about your ac. i thought you ment just the top vent haha but i had the same problem with my current xj so if i find a way to fix it i will let you know

Does it blow from the top on heat and air. If so check the vac lines by that batt. The air and heat should deff blow out the vents. I had the problem mine was stuck on defrost no matter what setting i had it on. And i had a leak in the vac line next to the battery going to the ball in the bumper. I am sure someone will jump in.

AC sounds like a Vacuum line issue. Mine will sometimes start with it blowing out of the vents nicely and when I get on the throttle it will blow from the defroster vents and when I let off the throttle it comes back to the dash vents. Still chasing that leak. May be in the dash switch now that I think about it more. Gas pedal issue needs a little more info. Like, how is it loose? Side to side or down to up. Are you not getting full throttle movement? Or are you just using it as a foot brace for hard cornering and it just dosent feel solid? LOL!

Does it open the throttle all the way? Have you replaced the throttle cable lately? Does it have cruise control? Is it all the way down to idle when its running and you let your foot up off the pedal?

Ive got a 95 and I just went and measured. At idle position, the pedal is 2 1/2 inches from the carpet, and I can pull mine up almost horizontal to 8 1/4 inches from the carpet.

Hope this helps a little.

I have never replaced the throttle cable. i just bought this jeep about 2 weeks ago. its an 88. and it really doesnt feel like it opens the throttle all the way. and i dont think it has cruise control and if it does i dont know where it is lol. and about my AC im not exactly sure where the vaccum lines are or how to check anything. if anyone can put up some kind of tutorial it would be much apreciated.
