Drained the old oil and put castrol gtx 10-40 for the phoenix heat and a put a new oil filter. guy at autozone told me to gap at 35, and it was supposed to give me better gas mileage.yet im still getting 13.5 mpg and its killing my bank!
any tips??thanks in advance!!

I see its your first post. Welcome to the forum, be sure to check out the four corners page hit some of the az guys up to go out and play in the dirt. Were always looking to get out
As for your question tho, the oil should be fine, and the gap should be fine. I would check fuel injectors and clean them if you can, also check tire pressure, air filter, you have the right amount of oil in the tranny and oil sump, bearings etc. I would try to run a thing of seafoam through your engine to. Heard it cleans all the gunk and crap you dont want in it.
Hopes this helps but your never going to get great gas mileage in these things. i only get 16-18 city.

Replace your fuel injectors, add a custom air filter and fab a heatshield...that will increase hp as well as improve gas mileage. Sometimes runner a higher octane fuel for a while can improve gas mileage. Do a good cleaning of your whole fuel system. Seafoam could help. And keep your tires around 33-35 except for off-roading.
