gas gauge not working

Yesterday while welding patches on my floor I disconnected my battery. I reconnected it and now my gas gauge is not working,the needle is below e with the dumbass light on. The tank is about 3/4 full. All the other gauges are working. Anyone have any ideas

did you burn the wire harness tha goes to the pump maybe

If I did burn through a wire for the gas gauge,why would the gas light still be on?

tap the cluster really hard with your finger.

what part of the floors were you welding? the gas gauge wires run along the drivers side below the doors and go through the floor under the back seat. anything else not working too?
