My 98 4.0 currently has check engine light on & when I get code it says fuel level sensor/float is problem. I have reset light three times and after I drive a short distance 20 to 25 miles light comes back on like clockwork. I will be putting a new pump assembly in next week I bought a little while ago. My question is has anyone ever had similar problem & did pump change stop light coming on. Just seems odd that this would trip light on although gauge has always been inaccurate since I had it. Jeep runs excellent.
