Default Fuse panel causing CB interference?

My CB is routed directly into the fuse block for power, in one of the accessory slots. Recently, I've noticed a good amount of feedback and interference coming from the radio. I've had to turn my squelch way up, which is killing my range. I can hear my door buzzer through my CB, when my wipers are going off, and there's far more interference and noise while my vehicle is actually running than when the key is just in the accessory position. I have it grounded right to the metal behind the pedals.

Has anyone else had this issue, or know of a fix for it? It's becoming annoying. I tried doing a search for it, but I couldn't quite come up with anything. :<

Sounds like ya got a ground feedback loop problem. I would try rerouting your ground to passenger side somewhere. Also might wanna run the power straight to battery like you would an amp for a radio, just make sure to use adequate size wire and put a fuse on it.

Ugh...I was hoping to avoid having to route directly to the battery if I didn't have to. I'd heard of a lot of people tapping directly into the fuse block with no issues.

My CB is wired into the fuse box. I put a male conector on the power wire and put it into an open slot. I shorten the ground wire and soderd a small metal washer to it and attached it to one of the screws used to mount the sun visor. I haven't had any issues, but I don't run it (CB) all the time either. So don't know if that will help or not. But it's what I did.

That's what I did, as far as the power wire is concerned. I just crimped a spade connector on there and popped it into the accessory slot. I take it the ground is supposed to be some distance from the power lead?

Well I'm not 100% on that, it was just more of a 'convenience' thing, and cutting the neg shortter was again just out of convenience. But again, I havn't noticed any interferance with the blinkers, wipers, or radio.
