Fuse help for a 1989 cherokee limited
I have a 1989 cherokee limited and was driving the other day and my son went to turn on the radio and it cut off. Now the wipers, brake lights, turn signals and heater motor aren't working. Anyone have some dealings with this?
The engine cut off or the radio? As far as fuses go, I would pull and check all of them (there aren't that many) and the items you've described that are no longer working use different fuses. I'm going to guess you've got a short somewhere that will have to be traced. The radio fuse in an '89 is fuse #2 (should be a blue, 15A) and it supplies power to the radio and cigarette lighter when the ignition is ON. Fuse #5 (red, 10A) supplies constant power to the radio for memory and the dome lights. Fuse #4 (yellow, 20A) is for your turn signals, reverse lamps, and rear window defroster. Fuse #3 (brown, 25A) is for your blower motor. Fuse #6 (blue, 15A) is for your brake lights and hazards.
Hope that helps but like I said, I suspect it's more than just a fuse.

Check the fuse links located on the starter relay which has the positive cable from the battery running to it. One of those links is common to all the items you mention.
