fuel tank help

fuel tank help
Ok I'm about to install my new fuel tank and just was wondering if there is supposed to be some kind of rubber between the body and tank. I took the old tank out so long ago I don't remember if there was anything there.

I took mine out a few weeks ago, and apart from the skidplate (which is below, duh) there was nothing above the tank between the body.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna put a piece of rubber there anyway. I just don't like the idea of the metal gas tank in contact with the metal body.
