You haven't even specified what is dangerous or poor in the advice you criticized, making your opinion a useless critisism.
As for the hood remaining shut in case of a fire, I have had good experience putting out fires with the hood open, hoods that I have opened after the fire broke out . Opening the hood can give access to the fire so that extinguishing media can be properly directed at it. It is a judgment call, sometimes it takes training and or experience to know, some time opening the hood is the correct thing to do if one wishes to put the fire out. Your results may differ depending on the situation. Size of fire, and fire fighting media are two major factors in the thought process of deciding to open the hood or not, to fight a fire, or to back away.
love and peace!

Well, regardless of fighitng, can you guys help me with the OP?
Looks like I am leaking from the fuel rail (that fuel dampener). Any easy way to fix that? What is the brand I can go with thats cheap and wont break? If I am doing all this should I change my fuel injectors too? Think boshch injectors were put in, but its 5 years ago.

Perhaps send a photo of the leak location? That will be helpful in identifing what needs repair.
Fuel dampener?
it's this thing. Supposedly next to impossible to repair?
So should I go with a 120$ china one from Amazon or my junk yard nearby has them for 20$.
Also how easy is it to clean fuel injectors? I'll buy a kit if I have to. Figure I'll do it if I'm there.
Well found my answer, couldnt find it in warm weather, but started it in the cold morning and found it: some little plug on the fuel injection rail. Called a fuel dampener maybe? So...can that thing be replaced or rigged out of the way? Hard to find rails taking a look online.
The only thing you should smell with the heater on is coolant. It will smell sweet. That would be a leaking heater core. Windshield tends to fog up a bit in cold weather when it happens. Dont bother with leak stop. Replace it. Its not fun, but has to be done. Or bypass the core and layer up to stay warm.

you better be confident that what you do is done right.
And despite what Sparky up there says you tell her if things start to go awry get out of the Cherk and leave the hood alone.

You've got a half-dozen options but since it's
you better be confident that what you do is done right.

Burn baby burn. Einstein it seems, thinks a female cant put out a fire. I guess the female is expected to get hysterical, run away, and scream, but heaven forbid she try to fight a fire. (correction... Not "fire" but rather "explosion" )
peace and love

Even in the 'Nam you'd double-check to make sure the Claymore was pointed in the right direction.

That billet one looks cool. But does a new fuel rail provide ANY performance improvement? (Compared to just a used rail without that plug)
I plan on buying a new o ring set for the injectors. Can someone advise in how to clean them? Watched a few videos.
