Fuel Pump Relay
This is somewhat in relation to my other fuel pump thread however more dealing with the relay end so I gave it separate thread.
I finally got the pump working and got it to start.
Long story short for some reason NAPA only had one relay in stock. All of the relays I currently have except the one I bought from napa are bad. (no I can't drive to a different auto store to get more relays, too expensive to cab it)
I ordered the rest of the relays I need online for 3$ each instead of paying napa 13$ each for the ones they want to sell me. It will still be a few days until the ones I order arrive.
My question is this. Since I can get my fuel pump to run by bridging the connection on the socket but I can't drive it because I also need the relay for the o2 sensor relay would it be ok to bridge the connection for the fuel pump relay with some wire and use the relay I bought today in the o2 sensor relay slot? I know I would have to unplug the wire when I got to work and plug it back in to leave. Would doing this put too much strain on the pump? I only live about 3-4 miles from work is this an ok temporary solution just to get me on the road again?
