Default Fuel Pump out??? Replace all or just parts?? VIDEO Inside

I'm leaning to believe the fuel pump may have went out. Check engine light came on a day or two before. The jeep has sputtered a couple times before when taking off from a dead stop. It doesn't start fast like some forum members have said there's does AFTER changing the pump. Jeep is a 2001 Cherokee sport with 108,000 miles. what do yall think it is? has anyone's jeep done this? i've included a video below...

I'd screw a fuel pressure gauge on there to verify the condition of the existing pump.

Doing some diagnostics would just be silly. Keep throwing parts at it, I'm sure one of them will fix it. Here is a little hint, that check engine light may give you a clue as where to start looking for the real cause of the problem.

actually, the fuel pump is not bad. i can hear it when i turn the key. i had done so much research on different forums that i titled this wrong. i read that if you drop the gas tank, you might as well change the fuel pump while you're in there instead of just changing the filter/strainer. i dont have a computer to read the code, i was actually about to go to the parts store for my other car when the jeep wouldn't start...

If you are taking the tank down anyway, I agree with replacing the pump while it's down. I wouldn't do it just yet for that reason only though.

bought an Actron Code Reader today and got the code:
P1389 No ASD Relay Output Voltage At PCM No Z1 or Z2 voltage sensed when the auto shutdown relay is energized.
P1389 (M) No ASD Relay Output Voltage At PCM An open condition detected in the ASD relay output circuit

was reading on another forum that i should:

Check your ASD relay in the PDC under the hood by the battery. Exchange a similar relay with the ASD relay and see if it starts.

gonna try that tomorrow when i get off work...
