Fuel pump noise

Hi, my fuel pump is making alot of noise it doesn't sound like a bad noise. But sounds like it's running hard cause it's so loud now. Is it going bad or just being noisey?

Some brands are a little louder than others.

But I have also seen it where when it fails in a certain way, it will get loud before it completely fails. Did the noise just start getting loud?

If this noise is progressively louder, that is your clue to REPLACE it before you get stranded.

Stay away from Airtex pumps.

Yeah i just noticed it being that loud, i actually just got the jeep a few days ago went from a zj to a xj. So wasnt sure what the deal was. But you think i should take care of it?

Keep an "ear" on it. As mentioned, some pumps are louder than others.

However, if the noise gets louder, replace it as a progressively louder pump indicates impending failure.
