If my fuel pump goes bad will it also make the Automatic Shutdown activate and keep me from having spark.
I just added fuel but the needle did not move. I checked the dash instruments fuse and it is good and tight.
How do I know if my Crank Positioning Censor is bad? I looked at it and nothing out of order. I wiped a little grease off of it and re installed.
EDIT: I mistakenly wrote CRANK positioning censer but meant to say CAM positioning censer.

According to what I've found, the ASD runs a lot of "stuff" ! including fuel pump relay, ALT field etc...
The PCM runs the ADS ground circuit for the IGN coil too...
Is the fuel pump not running at all ? If the gauge isn't reading, maybe look at the wiring at the gas tank sending unit, and the GROUND for that sender & pump...

That ground for that harness is is in a splice, located on the left sidewall, just ahead of the lift gate opening, where a bunch of wiring comes together...

Cam position sensor is in the distributor, with ( I believe) three wires coming out the side of the dist. I guess you could remove the cap & look at the sensor & wiring etc...and where it runs into the harness..
