Fuel pump

Would a fuel pump and filter from a 96 Cherokee fit on a 98 Cherokee?

My girl's dad is gonna part out his 96 and it got a new pump, and ironically my girlfriend's 98 Cherokee got a bad pump.

Look them up on rockauto, napaonline, etc. See if they call for the same pump.

Nope. The pump changed in 97 and the '96 pressure regulator is a one-year-only part.
