Default Fuel Line Clip Installation

Hello,
My fuel line clip broke at the rail and I am replacing them. I picked this up, which seems to fit, but I'm not sure how to install it. It comes with two orings and a small plastic collar. Do I need to pick out any old orings or anything, it's hard to see in the line and I don't want to damage it jamming a pick in there.
Anyone ever use one of these? Thanks

You do need to look inside the connector and make sure there's no o-ring, spacer or other debris. Wipe down the mating fitting on the fuel line/rail.

Then you insert the entire kit into the line until it fully seats. It should clip into place. Then, you remove the central plug and place the hose back on the fuel line and push until you hear it click. Tug gently on the line to ensure it's locked into place.

Turn on the cycle to energize the pump and check for leaks..

To extra clarify Saudade, after you remove the old connector look inside where the fuel line came out of. Sometimes one of the o-rings might still be inside the connection on the fuel rail and not let the new connector seat. You don't want to see 50psi of fuel spraying out of the line, trust me....LOL.

So this is the best shot I could get. I don't see any obvious o rings or at least any easily removal part. The only thing I really see is that orange ring, but I poked at it and it doesn't appear to be an oring but I could be wrong. I didn't see anything else when I pulled the clips out, but I am getting around to finally fixing these on a build I started months ago - so maybe they fell out or something then? I just want to make sure I'm not jamming this new fitting in on existing software. Thank you again for your help

That one stays, although it can be replaced with a Viton o-ring. You can buy a misc.size kit at the HELP(Dorman) shelf at you local auto parts store, it will have 2 of the correct size for the replacement.

Alright I'm feeling inept here. I tried inserting this into the end of the fuel line as it is pictured in the amazon link. It will not go into either one and is supposed to be a fit for the a 93 XJ with the 4.0L. What am I missing here?

Think I may have figured it out. The fitting on the left is the new one, right is the old one. The new one has a 'collar' where it inserts where the old one does not, and it's apparent that collar is what is prohibiting it from being inserted. So I guess this isn't a fit for a 93 XJ as advertised.
Any ideas or experience in how to fix the connectors that go to the fuel rail on these rigs?
